Amptown all started in 1973, with the rock n roll demands in Germany at that time. Amptown become the specialist for music-equipment and instruments far beyond the border of Hamburg. Professional equipment needed a professional packing solution. In the first years amptown import flightcases from the uk until Amptown Cases GMBH was founded in the year 1978. From that time on amptown cases GMBH quickly became the preferred professional flightcases company in Germany.

With just a handful of people Amptown Cases build the first flightcases in Alsterdorfer Straße in a small unit which fast became to small for its productions and moved to Bramfeld where Amptown designed its first professional manufacture structure which it works to till this day.

Over the years amptown cases has become Europes largest and leading flight case manufacturer, with its own developments like the Transflex, abs-racks and the SiP series of cases, they have established the industry standards world wide.

With the takeover of Alpha pack cases, Amptown cases acquired much needed additional production capacity, which allowed them to do mass production of Transflex, SiP and motor cases.

2009 Amptown Cases starts building their new state of the art 65,000 sq ft factory in Seevetal, 25 km south of Hamburg. After the move in August 2009 with now more than 50 workers produce flightcases for all aspects of companies from military, F1 racing, computer and rock'n'roll industries.
